“Iranian Cultural Thesaurus (ASFA)” is the main indexing tool at the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI). Compilation of ASFA dates back to 1993. The IranMARC-orinted ASFA data is available at the National Library of Iran’s OPAC also recently published on the Skosmos platform using Semantic Web standards.

“Thesaurus of Iran Public Administration” born on the Skosmos platform, aims at standardizing vocabulary in administrative automation system.

You can access the data of the NLAI’s thesauri (NLAI) in various ways. If you want to search for concepts or terms or see their structure, a web browser is the best option. If you want to see the whole or a part of the contents of NLAI’s thesauri , or embed them in applications, the best choice is to download them or use the REST API.
